Numbered Limited Edition 180 Gram 45 RPM Double LP

Released in 1969, Nashville Skyline is Bob Dylan's full-on turn toward country music and one of the records that opened the door for country-rock. Having quit smoking, Dylan sings in a warm, smooth croon that sounds almost nothing like the voice on his earlier albums.

The album opens with a duet with Johnny Cash on "Girl From The North Country" and includes "Lay Lady Lay" and "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You." Backing comes from a crack team of Nashville session players including Charlie Daniels, Charlie McCoy, Kenny Buttrey and Norman Blake.

Mastered on Mobile Fidelity's mastering system (1/4" / 15 ips analog copy to DSD 256 to analog console to lathe) and pressed at RTI. Spreading the album across two 45 RPM discs means wider grooves and more information in the playback.
