The Album Collection Vol. 2, 1987–1996 gathers remastered editions of the five studio and live albums Bruce Springsteen recorded for Columbia between 1987 and 1996, plus the EPs Chimes of Freedom and Blood Brothers — available on vinyl for the first time. Each title is presented in a recreation of its original packaging and accompanied by a 60-page book of rarely seen photos, memorabilia, and press clippings. Bob Ludwig, working with Springsteen and engineer Toby Scott, remastered the albums from the original analog masters using the Plangent Process.
