Planet Chernobyl is poem, libretto, and opera in one. It brings together the words of poet Charles Plymell, the vision of bassist Mike Watt, and the orchestrations of singer/composer Petra Haden. Plymell's poetry chronicles the horrific 1986 Chernobyl disaster; moved by the work, Watt and Haden set it to music with their newly formed project, Pelicanman. The release features cover artwork by Tanya Haden.
