One of the first African-led bands to break into the British mainstream, Osibisa helped define the sound of Afro-rock in 1970s Europe. Formed in London by Ghanaian saxophonist Teddy Osei, the group fused highlife traditions with rock, jazz, funk, soul and psychedelia. Welcome Home (1975) marked the band's debut for Bronze Records under manager-producer Gerry Bron, capturing Osibisa at a pivotal moment of crossover success and featuring the enduring feel-good anthem "Sunshine Day." This 50th-anniversary edition arrives on 180g "Psychedelic Splatter" special-effect vinyl.
