Music Returns

Should you receive a defective or damaged item, The ‘In’ Groove will be happy to assist in coordinating a return. Due to system limitations, we do not offer exchanges. To submit a return request, click the link below, and we will supply a return shipping label if the return request is applicable within our policies:

  • For a smooth return experience, it's important to request returns within 30 days of receiving your order. Once you've received the return label, please ensure your order is mailed back within 14 days. (Please note, orders mailed back outside of this 14-day window may be refused and returned.)
  • We can source replacement parts for Analogue Productions, Impex, Cohearent, and Mobile Fidelity. We will not take returns for those labels but will send you a replacement part instead.
  • For non-damaged/defective music titles, please be aware that they are considered final sale and are non-refundable. 
  • LP inner and outer sleeves are final sale and non-refundable.
  • RECORD STORE DAY ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE; WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS. 



Should your return request meet the following criteria, please read the instructions below:

1. Enter your email address in the email field and click ‘Continue’.
2. A 6-digit verification code will be emailed to the address provided. 
3. Return to the online store and enter the six-digit verification code.
2. Click the order number you wish to request a return.
3. Select the item(s) that you wish to return.
4. Select a return reason and add a note explaining the issue with your purchase. Please be specific. (e.g., “Disc 1 is warped”, “Record has audible defects on Track 2”, etc.) 
5. Click ‘Request Return’

If your return request is approved and requires shipping, then you will receive an email with shipping instructions and a return shipping label. A refund will be issued after the product is returned to the store

**Excessive LP return requests for minor flaws may result in restriction of LP purchases. 
**Item's not returned in the condition they were received will receive a 10% restocking fee or be mailed back to the customer.

International Music Returns 

Due to the extreme cost of shipping products internationally, if you receive a defective music title, The In' Groove is not able to provide return shipping. All costs related to shipping an item for return to and from The In' Groove will be the customer's financial responsibility.

 

Equipment Returns

Here's a quick checklist of everything we need to ensure your exchange or credit is processed as quickly as possible:

  • Please write the RMA# number outside the shipping box (not the original product box).
  • Items must be returned in the condition they were received, including all accessories, documentation and packaging materials. 
  • If your package was originally shipped double-boxed, please return the double-boxed unit(s).
  • The product should be packed in the original box with the UPC codes intact.
  • Your package must arrive in resalable condition.
  • Please use a tracking and insured shipping method, such as FedEx or UPS. When returning a product, In Groove is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages in transit and is not liable for uninsured packages.
  • Note: Damaged, cosmetically dinged, or items missing original accessories may be subject to a restocking fee.
  • Excessive equipment or accessory return requests may result in restocking fees or restriction of equipment purchases. 
  • For defective LPs, we will provide 1x shipping label per order.
  • One-time use items like Cartridge alignment tools, cleaning fluids, stylus force gauges, record brushes, computer software, etc, are non-refundable. Special order items and non-damaged or defective music titles are non-refundable as well.

Order Cancelation Policy 

You can cancel your order at any time before shipment. A full refund will be issued back to your original payment method if canceled within six months of your original order date. After six months, your refund will be issued on a gift card.
