One-Step vinyl is the ultimate vinyl pressing.

Because Sound Matters' meticulous One-Step process creates the definitive sounding audiophile version of Green Day's Dookie. Spread across four sides at 45rpm from the original analog master tapes, Dookie has never sounded better!

This One-Step version is strictly limited to 3,000 copies. The album is housed inside a top quality, foil-stamped, uniquely designed numbered slipcase. The enclosed gatefold double LP features an "Old Style" double gatefold tip-on jacket with original artwork.

Special care has been taken to faithfully preserve the original sound with exceptional clarity and depth, capturing the recording's nuances and subtleties at every step to create the best sounding record possible.

The One-Step process is highly regarded among audiophiles and collectors for its unparalleled sound fidelity and represents the pinnacle of vinyl manufacturing craftsmanship.

Green Day's third album, Dookie, was originally released February 1, 1994 and was their major label debut. It was their first collaboration with producer Rob Cavallo. The release has gone on to sell more than 30 million copies worldwide and is one of the best-selling albums of all time! Dookie is considered one of, if not the, greatest Punk Rock album of all time!

Dookie had four successful singles: "Longview," "Basket Case," "Welcome To Paradise," and "When I Come Around"! Dookie won a Grammy Award in 1995 for Alternative Album of the Year and peaked at number 2 in the US on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

BSM One-Step Details:

Dookie was recorded and mixed on analog tape. The original analog master tapes were directly used as the audio source for this One-Step pressing. Because Sound Matters also expanded the recording to a double LP at 45rpm for maximum sound quality!

BSM used Neotech VR900-D2 180g High-Performance vinyl compound which is the same as what is known as Super Vinyl or Clarity Vinyl — the best in the world.

Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering cut the lacquers with meticulous care! He has mastered some of the greatest albums of all time and now has mastered the definitive sounding version of Dookie.

Dorin Sauerbier at Record Technology, Inc (R.T.I.) has been plating records for decades and is considered the best in the world — he also has done more One-Step processing than anybody. This is a vital step in the process to ultimately delivering the absolute best sounding version of Dookie ever.

Record Technology, Inc did the pressing — using the exact pressing machine used for so many Mobile Fidelity One-Step releases. The QC team is constantly monitoring each copy as it comes off the press.

The slipcases, and double gatefold "Old Style" tip on original art jackets, were printed by world renowned Stoughton Printing Company.

It's a turning point for alternative rock that still feels as vibrant decades later, and captures Green Day in a liminal state between obscurity and an almost impossibly unlikely level of fame, unaware of what was to come and simply working with the same raw materials they always had to make their next record one they could be proud of.
